This tutorial will focus on the procedure of setting up and activating the Vault Wallet after an account with LODE has been successfully registered.

The Vault Wallet replaces the old LODEpay App Wallet that is being phased out.

The LODEapp Wallet is a non-custodial wallet, which means members have sole control over their private keys (12-word Recovery Phrase), and the digital assets within their wallets.

LODE will not be liable for any lost assets in wallets held by members who are not able to provide their 12-word Recovery Phrase, for any reason.

It is recommended that you confirm the operating system software on your device is up to date before proceeding with any of the tutorials.

πŸŽ“ Part 3: Set Up and Activate Your New Vault Wallet. πŸŽ“

The Vault Wallet activation screen must be located in order to set up and activate your Vault Wallet.

If you are currently on the "Congratulations!" screen after successfully registering your account with LODE, you can choose to tap on either "Skip" or "See Available Wallets".

If you tap on "Skip", the "Vault Wallet" activation screen will appear.

If you tap on "See Available Wallets", a screen with the heading "Wallet Types" will appear. To learn more about the available wallets, tap on each banner displayed to see a brief description of the wallet features.

From the "Wallet Types" screen, you can locate the Vault Wallet activation screen by tapping on "Continue" at the bottom of the screen.

When the "Wallet Setup" screen appears, tap on "Continue To Your Homepage" at the bottom of the screen.

The next screen to appear will be the Vault Wallet activation page.

Step 1: Locate the Vault Wallet activation screen.

Step 2: Tap on the blue "Vault" banner.

A screen titled "Important" will pop up. This does not apply to new members. It applies to existing members who have the existing LODEpay App downloaded to a mobile device.

Step 3: Tap on "Got It".

The next screen that appears will display the heading, "Activate Your Vault Wallet".

There are two tabs at the bottom of the screen. One in blue displays the words, "Activate a New Vault Wallet" and one in black displays the words, "Access Your Vault Wallet".

Step 4: Please tap on, "Activate a New Vault Wallet".

The heading displayed on the next screen will be "Your Recovery Phrase". Below the heading are twelve words numbered in blue from 1 to 12.

These twelve words make up your private Recovery Phrase for your new Vault Wallet.

Step 5: Please carefully write down your 12-word Recovery Phrase in the numbered order displayed on your screen for storing offline.

Step 6: Tap on the box next to "I have safely stored my recovery phrase offline", then tap on "Continue".

❗️Very Important - Please Take Note ❗️

Members are required to safely and securely store their 12-word Recovery Phrase offline. It is extremely important that you do not misplace or lose your 12-word Recovery Phrase as it is your private key to your LODEapp Wallet and all of its assets. Your 12-word Recovery Phrase is also required to reset your six-digit PIN and to restore your wallet. If you are not able to restore your wallet, you will not be able to access any digital assets that you have stored in that wallet. LODE will not be liable for any lost assets in wallets held by members who are not able to provide their 12-word Recovery Phrase, for any reason.

Confirm Your Recovery Phrase

On the next screen you will begin a process to confirm your Recovery Phrase. You will be presented with a sequence of three numbers. The first and last number of the sequence will display words from your 12-word Recovery Phrase.

The middle word in the sequence will be missing. You will be provided a choice of three words, one of which is the correct word from your 12-word Recovery Phrase.

When you tap on the correct word, a check-mark will appear and then the next screen. This process will be repeated three more times to confirm your 12-word Recovery Phrase.

Step 7: Confirm Your Recovery Phrase.

Step 8: Pease enter your six-digit PIN.

The next screen that appears will display the following message.

Congratulations!

Your Vault Wallet has been activated!

Step 9: Tap on "Continue to Your Homepage".

You can now Buy, Send, and Receive digital assets within your Vault Wallet.
